| 08/21/00 | As of this date the large system has been dismantled and cleaned to get ready for the next stage. The small system is still populated with tomatoes and 3 pepper plants. The nutrient solution is for stage 3. We are having trouble getting the tomatoes to set fruit. They blossom but no fruit sets. Since tomatoes are self pollinating, a vibrator device is was devised which works well as one can see the pollen dispersing when it is used. Still, no fruit has set. |
